I took the TEAS exam this morning and got an adjusted individual score of 89.4% overall. I got a 97.5 on reading, 97.8 on math, 83.3 on science, and 83.6 on the English.
I currently have a GPA of 4.0 and I am taking the 3 prereqs for the nursing program now..which are English Comp I, General Psychology, and A&P I.
I have to attend a health information session tomorrow after which I can apply for the internal transfer into the (ADN) Nursing program out of health sciences-general studies.
I am super nervous about the whole process and really hope it all goes well. I am just wondering what scores everyone got on their TEAS and if you got accepted or not into your program.
Thanks!!

I am submitting my application for this Fall's ABSN program at Samuel Merritt. They take the last 60 units for overall GPA, and mine comes to 3.7 (4.0 in sciences). My TEAS V results are 86.7 (advanced), national 98, and program 95. I feel that the scores overall are decent/strong. I'm on the fence on where I stand.
Are these reasonable scores?
Hi everyone. I just took the TEAS two days ago. I got an 80.7% overall (Advanced). I am an older strudent applying to the LPN Program at a Technical school. I took all the prerequisites for the RN program. I took math, microbiology, chemistry, and so forth. I got straight As. We only needed to take the reading portion of the TABE to get into that. I decided to do the LPN program first to get a good feel for the whole career change. I bought the ATI study book & I was shocked at how in depth it went as far as the science portion. Even thought I did well on my prereqs, I took them like three years ago. I mean how often am I just sitting around balancing chemical reaction equations or contemplating covalent bonds, or even the stages of mitosis versus meiosis. Not very.
I found the math pretty straight forward. I just brushed up on the whole long division thing, percents, proportions, and ratios. English, I did not work on. All-in-all, I studied for about a week. The book did a fairly descent job in preparing me for the actual exam. If I could go back, I would have looked over the reading & English part a little more. I would have definitely made more time to do the two practice tests in the book & cross-reference them with the correct answers. The good news is, it's over. My advice to anyone would be that if you are not great at math, then practice problems without a calculator, since you cannot use one during the exam. Study Data Interpretation. Learn ionic versus covalent bonds & know how to read the Periodic Table. Lots of science! 48 Questions! Best wishes to all!
I agree, this doesn't seemns to help.
I found the ATI book a good study resource but the online test is much easier than the actual test when it comes to the science portion. I'm also not a big fan of the fact that when you pay to have practice tests you pay for taking the SAME test twice. I don't care who you are, when you take it a second time you remember some if not many of the questions.
