Your location indicates that you're in practicing in California, yet you're referring to yourself as an 'LPN' instead of 'LVN'.

What am I? That's a loaded question don't you think? ;)

I'm an RN

Drag Racer

who just finished school, and waiting to take the NCLEX-RN I guess

:Santa1: Don't be sad LPN 90, know you did not intend this! Nice to know that people are interested in what fellow posters do, I certainly am! Cheer up, Santa is coming soon! (never mind that I'm mortgaged to the max etc, etc, trying to keep up the season of goodwill to all & stuff!!!). Anyway, I am a Scottish girlie, i qualified as a midwife, and was posted into the Neonatal unit 6 years ago-- never left , and went back to University to do my neonatal intensive care course. I can't imagine being anywhere else, a big No-No to going back to the labour suite! I love my tiny babies, I was born to be here! Outwith work, I'm a mad Mammy, 3 big babies,(19, 17, 14 yrs!) never done with THIS job and never want to be without it!!!

Chin up Babe, Joys of the Season to you !:Reindeer:

:saint: Thanks Danissa,

Have a wonderful Christmas !

i find it strange when non medical people ask this question because i feel like they don't know the difference anyway. nor do they even care to know what the difference is in our scope of practice. i almost feel like they just want to know how much money i make...another misconception really, not all rns make more than all lpns...

I am happy in my role as a circulating nurse - I truly value all the staff that works around me, regardless of the title or the job or the education. I couldn't do what I do without them, and vice versa. We are all valuable in our team.

This was too cute!! We all have with many roles and titles....:smiletea: Best of luck to U!!!

LPN for eleven years. Presently RN and BSN student. Mom. Sister. Daughter. Wife. Babysitter. Referee. Overweight. Stressed. :smokin:
