What to do for the summer?

Published

So, I finished second semester with a B! I also passed Microbiology and Pharmacology. So excited to be half way done with this Nursing program. Every day is one day closer! The 12 month countdown has officially started :))))))

This goes to show you that every little thing matters in Nursing school. I started this semester struggling and just knowing I was going to fail, but things turned around in the middle of the semester. So, if you are having a hard time right now, DO NOT GIVE UP. Keep working at it, and hopefully, most likely, things will turn around in your favor! You got this!

Now, I'm out for the summer. Today is the first day being out of school and I have no idea what to do. I have studied every day for the past 5 months, now that I don't have anything extremely important to do, I am so lost.

What do other nursing students do when they are out for the summer? I have 3 whole months to kill lol.

Of course I plan on keeping up with my studying, but not having any tests due for 3 months is going to be strange.

I am doing an internship this summer, so that's exciting. Will let you know how that goes later.

Hope everyone is studying hard and doing their best!

Until next time,

Future RN '18 :))))))

During the summer, I dont even LOOK at my nursing things. Summer is your time to take a deep breath in and just relax. Spend this time working and saving up money, and enjoying it with your friends and family.

Specializes in ER.

Go skinny dipping in the local river or lake.

Specializes in Mental Health, Maternity & Well-Woman Care.

I just graduated last week and I feel so...weird not having anything to do. I'm only taking a week off before I begin NCLEX-RN prep. My point in all of this, is that you should relax :). Things won't always be this slow; enjoy doing what ever tickles your fancy while you can. Keep it up!!

Specializes in ICU Stepdown.

I'll be working to save up for Autumn semester and taking physiology. I'll probably also learn Swift (programming language) and continue self-studying Japanese.
