I'm just wondering if there is anything I could study that might put me ahead of the game before/if I am admitted into a program, just to familiarize myself
I read something about an MAC (??)
Should I review biochem?
pharm?
Vent stuff?
Anything that might take the edge off (no matter how slight) once in the program

I'm still waiting to hear if I'm in or not, but I plan on taking another organic chem course just to give myself a fresh chemistry brain going in to the program.

The best suggest I could possibly give you is to enjoy your free time before you start school. If you can afford it, take a vacation.
If you still insist on suggestions to prep for school.
Physics: Gas laws
Chemistry: review organic
Physiology: review cell physiology
Pharm: Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics
Vent/pulmonary: review lung volumes, VT, ERV, IRV, FRC, RV, MV ....
If I were you I would not get real specific on reviewing items like MAC because you really need to know about pulmonary physiology to understand MAC.
