Because I've read from one post that California is not recommended for initial licensure. At some point, Can someone please recommend a state that is advisable for those who do not have a local board license?

I have already chosen a state, and they are very approachable whenever I have some questions..

I know this is already addressed several times, however, maybe some data are not current or something..

What are you going to do without a local license whilst waiting for a work visa in the US? You are going to be looking at several years wait and many employers would not be pleased if you have not gained any experiene whilst waiting, in fact they may decide not to assist in your petition if not prepared to gain some experience whilst waiting

Five years and no experience as an RN? And not able to go to any other country to get experience? With all of the new grads coming out of your country, you are going to find it very difficult to get licensed and be able to get a visa for the US. Right now, it is not a requirement of the federal government here, but we are expecting that to change by the time that you would even have a chance at a green card. And we mean chance, there are many more applicants than there are visas per year. And if you were on the other side of the coin: Would you accept someone that has never worked as an RN anywhere in the world and has been out of school for more than five years? And you have a choice of someone that has three to five years of actual work experience?

Please be realistic in this and get the exam done. You are going to need to work as an RN someplace. What someone did in the past is no longer what is happening.

And does not matter if the state requires it or not, but you are going to need to get hired as well as get thru the immigration process and that is where one will have major issues.
