What was your starting LPN pay?

Can someone help me out and tell me what the average LPN pay is for a nurse just starting?

I started in LTC in the Denver area at $17.50 per hour (that was slightly on the low side for LTC). The county hospital, which is the only one that hired LPNs, started around $11-12 I think.

I'm in the Portland, OR area now and make $26 working agency (no bennies) and recently made $26 working home health with bennies. Not sure what the VA is currently paying. Kaiser pays $17-23 but they probably have the best bennies. Dunno what the typical hourly rate is for LTC b/c I have not been regular at a facility in awhile. There are also several methadone clinics in the area who use LPNs as dispensing nurses; scary easy work. Depending on the company, they pay $15-20.
