What does section "Practice Pending Results" mean from the RN licensure app?

Hello,

I just recently submitted my application for license as an RN and was reading the section under their application instruction form titled "Practice Pending Results." I just wanted to ask clarification of this section. Does it mean that I can practice within 90 days after submission of app, transcript, and fee OR I can practice within 90 days after submission of app, transcript, fee, and after taking the NCLEX? In addition, do they send you some temporary card or form that states this condition and time frame? I also just graduated from my nursing program last month and I have not gotten my ATT yet. I was wondering in yall's opinion is it okay to start applying for jobs now or after I pass my NCLEX? I just feel weird to apply for jobs that are asking for licensed RN's without my license yet or without even my ATT/date to take my test!

I would just wait until licensed. Then there is no embarrassment or loss of job should the unthinkable occur and you don't pass. Save yourself a lot of extra, unneeded stress.

When I first applied it meant you were a "RN applicant" until you passed the nclex exam and you had 90 days to do so. I got a job right out of school, had 90 days to pass the test, and was designated as an "RN applicant" on my hospital ID and that is how I was supposed to sign my paperwork, i.e your name, RNA. Hope that helps.

ditto :) Also, getting a job as an RNA right after graduation greatly helped me prepare for the NCLEX

Thank you all for your help!!!! :)
