What are you sacrificing to go nursing school?

I'm selling my house, all of my furniture, quit my job, moving out of a state where I have lived for 11 years, and moving as an adult with a baby back in with my Dad who is my sole supporter.

I've been making notes of all of the nuttiness in my journal for my daughter...so she can know when she gets older that I did it all for her :)

among other things I am sacrificing ( time w/ my son and husband, a good paying job, friends ect,) I feel the same way as daughterofruth, I would not be able to live w/ the "what if"

We just paid off all our bills so I am quitting my good paying job to take a night job (full time) as a telemetry tech (more than halved my pay).

The biggest think I am sacrificing is SLEEP.

I'm so thankful someone came up with this because I feel I'm temporarily sacrificing my entire life to go to school as this has always been my dream.I'm giving up my new home and newly found independence after only a year of being on my own.I'm putting my wedding on hold for a few more years and my fiance and myself are moving in with grandpa(my grandparents raised me)who happens to be the biggest critic I know.I'm selling most of my possessions, giving up my dogs(which I consider my children)and adding more debt to my existing load to pay for school.I sold my car and lost my CNA job due to scheduling conflicts interfering with school; leaving my fiance to cover all the bills including paying for most of my education.To top it off I recently lost my grandma who was very dear to me and considered her as my mother and am recovering from an accident related injury.It has been a very long hard road to finally begin persuing my dreams and I realize that this will be one of the best experiences of my life.I am very sad from all the sacrifices that have had to be made but very excited at the same time.So to anyone who feels that there are too many obstacles standing between and your dreams,don't give up for your time will come sooner than you may think!!!!!
