My study review states to "know what a citation is". I've tried looking through the chapters in my textbook (the areas that focus on "you as a nursing student/certification/losing certification, laws, etc.) and I also went through the key terms/definitions at the back of the book, and the index. Nothing for "citation".
I also tried looking up "citation in nursing" but all I got was articles referring to writing your paper in correct format.
I'm assuming a citation is when you get "written up" for a mistake you made, like when you get a citation for speeding, etc.

I have seen it used when facilities receive "citations" from the state surveyors during an inspection. I can't think this is the use being referred to in your case.

it might actually be how to cite a source -- there was some emphasis on APA writing our first quarter and one of the questions on our tests was what was included in an APA citation.
Hmm... I went back into my textbook and looked at the section that talked about surveyors, though there still was nothing about "citations". Perhaps my instructor will allow me to ask what she meant by that? Otherwise I'll just be making an educated-guess :/
Ah, see, we haven't done anything like that. I don't think our test even has written responses. Oh well lol
