What is the process to get a job in Canada?

Published

Hi friends,

My sister has done her nursing and is willing to work in Canada. She has choosen Alberta province, but have no idea about the procedure. Where to register? What all documents she needs and what all exams she need to write and scores to reach. Next Jan is her marriage after that they want to move to Canada.

Kindly post any suggestions and links that helps

Thank you

Wow. I'm going to take it English is your first language and you have no idea how condescending your first post is.

Your sister "is willing to work in Canada". "She has chosen Alberta province".

Uhm, many Alberta new grads can't find work despite their parents choosing to give birth to them here.

"Willing to go to Canada" Our country is a beautiful nation built of migrants who really, really wanted to come here and hoped that Canada would choose them! My family included.

There is no demand here for new grad nurses from other nations. Off shore recruitment for experienced nurses ended years ago.

Your sister needs to choose and be willing to gain experience at home before another nation.

Oh, and Canadian nurses need to be independent movers and thinkers. They need to do their own research and communications and not depend on their brother/family to do it for them.

Hi Johnv,

We are happy to hear that your sister is interested in becoming a nurse in Alberta! Is she looking to become a registered nurse? If so, we are the regulatory body for registered nurses

in Alberta.
