I am looking to become a lpn. I live in akron oh & there is only 3 schools accredited by ohio board of nursing. One is brown mackie they want 28,000 for the program, but i think that's a little high.
So im trying to find out what is a price thats not to high to become a lpn.
Thank yu!

you better NOT attend a LPN school that costs that much. heck no. I paid 16,000. find another school and if all else fails go to community college and earn a ADN (RN) for less.

I live in NE Ohio. I attend a school that cost around $11k plus the cost of books, uniforms and miscellaneous items. The most expensive school I considered was $16K. I would never pay $28K for an LPN school but on the other hand you have people who would never pay $11K for LPN school. You have to do what's good for you. I considered what would be more manageable for me to pay if I didn't find a decent paying job right away, which I think now days is a possibility. Plus, if you are continuing on the become an RN you will have more debt to consider. It's more than 3 schools approved by the BON in the Akron area.

I went to an adult program at Wayne County Schools Career Center in Smithville
OH.... less than a half hour from Akron. Graduated in 2003, paid $6700. Just Google.

There is absolutely no reason to pay more for an LPN certificate than you would for an RN degree. If cost and accreditation are a factor, just go to a local CC and get your RN.
