What kind of study area do you have/use???

Published

Hi everyone..... I'm starting my first pre-req in August (anatomy) and I'm thinking of buying a desk to put in our basement bedroom. (we just finished our basement so it's done and cozy)

I figure if nothing else I can put the kids to bed early :yelclap:(my husband will be traveling M-Th) and head downstairs to study in a quiet room without any distractions (tv, computer, etc)

I found a desk at IKEA that I liked and is very cheap.... $49.00... just a table sort of thing... but I really like the idea of having my "own space".... (we have an office but I wouldn't get any privacy there)... ok, I'm rambling now...

Anyway... do you have a sacred place or do you go to the library, or do you just study at the kitchen table?

With my 3 kids, I really need a hide-a-way...:sofahider Any ideas???

I study at the Cafe in Borders. I just can't study at a library where it's quiet. Also, I MUST have my coffee when I study. So, I'll go to Borders and order a large Vanilla Latte and hit the books.

This time around, since I'm in nursing school, I'm gonna try to study at home at my kitchen table with my laptop. I have a home office, but from some reason, I dont think I can be locked up in that room for too long.

I like Borders as well....I go and get a pot of tea (yes I do sometimes get funny looks when I explain I only need one cup :) ) and sit for hours sudying and getting wired on caffeine :)

I study on my sofa, on the floor of the living room or propped up in my bed (which usually leads to me sleeping). We are trying to figgure out a better study area for me. I have an old antique fold down desk that has 3 drawers in it that I want to put in our computer room so that I can close all my mess up and not have to look at it scattered everywhere!
