I figured it out it's a Nurse Case Manager.

Why did I ask that question why are half the questions asked? That's what this person described their job as, and I didn't believe it was a real job?

I have an acquaintance who works with a (legit) chronic pain management physician practice. She does a lot of patient teaching and supervision of complex pain medication regimens - including transitioning from opioids. I guess it's sort of a Case Mgt job, but it's more than that.
