Sorry if it's not really on-topic... but are there many openings in your state/city?
Thanks!

MAs are only hired for doc's offices around here, and not much. No hospitals or nursing homes.

there are a lot of jobs for MA's here! The pay is decent and ya don't have to practically LIVE at your job to get the big $$. just depends on where you are i guess

Seems there are plenty of jobs in central ohio but, seems the pay isn't what the schools are advertising in adds. Most are entry level postitions that don't advance well . There are MA's in our ER, but, they are hired as pt. care techs. I know some one who makes 18 dollars and hour, there are no benifits (vacation, health , etc)

Central IL - some positions in MD's offices.
Oh guys, thank you so much, I'm just figuring out the place I want to go before I get my nursing degree. :) I rarely see vacancies here in east Washington... so I'm thinking about moving to a place where there's some need for MAs...

The doctor offices here on the Central Coast of CA hire MA's and one I know is hiring (but has quite a few resumes already), and also the local nursing school has a wait list a couple years long!

Ok, this may seem like a silly question, but we don't have MAs. What does an MA do?
