Hey guys, I am in nursing school to become an LVN. While searching for jobs for LVN's I found an ad on craigslist that said: """""""LPN part time evenings. Independant position in foster home setting. """""
It seemed legit had a number and name to contact, I am curious what a job like this would be like. It's got to be home health but why would you go to a foster home setting? Are they just letting you know? Anyway, I've just never seen an ad like this and was just wondering what the working environment is like.

It's really hard to say without asking for more information, but I'd imagine there may be children with special needs in the household that may need assistance with activities of daily living (eating, bathing, walking, moving).

I don't know anything about the position except that you must be very, very careful. I would never enter into anything private like this without a good malpractice policy.
You must ask....why is the foster family seeking care outside of an agency? What is the dynamic in the situation such that foster care is involved? Are state child protective services involved?
