I have an interview scheduled in a couple of weeks with the California Sheriff's Dept. What kinds of questions should I expect? If anybody has been through the process, can you please advise me of what is was like?? Thanks!

First of all, I would recommend you do not wear revealing clothing or anything really form fitting. This may suggest you are not aware of your surroundings (inmates).
Think of a good answer of why you want to work in a correctional setting.
How would you react if an inmate asked you to bring something into the institution or take a letter out? (Best answer is to refuse and report this to a supervisor).

Did you have an interview? What was it like?

I had an interview many many years ago. I made the mistake of admitting that I had tried(experimented) with drugs when I was a teenager. I wanted to be honest about it. Big mistake. I would have gotten the job if I had lied and said I had never experimented with drugs. So remember to deny any drug use unless of course you have a prior conviction that is on your record.
