To get into the program?
I was told to sit at the front of the classroom and I had two of the nursing instructors interview me. I usually stumble through interviews, but I really wanted this and did just find. I was asked why I chose nursing and am I responsible and to explain. Those are very easy questions for me, so I just went with the truth and got smiles from the instructors. I don't know how to explain it, but the ladies had smiles and were so nice that I didn't feel intimidated or anything.

My interview took place inside a small conference room with 3 instructors. I was very very nervous the entire time but I just tried to speak without stumbling over my words as best as possible. Some of the questions they asked me were: Why do you choose Nursing?, What is your ideal nurse?, What is the difference between knowledge and wisdom?, and they gave me a scenario where I had to put them in order from the most priority to the least. The interview was shorter than I thought it would be but they only asked about 12 questions. I thought I bombed it but I made it into the program after all.
Just take your time answering questions that way you can think before you answer.

i had my interview today and was accepted into my program
i was first interviewed by one of the operations manager, she was very friendly and was pleased that i had submitted my applications, documents, transcripts, recc's, enrollment agreement, etc. all on time. then asked if i was going to be working or not? if i had childcare? just pretty much basic questions about how my lifestyle would be like within their 1 year program.
next i met with the director, who wasn't as intimidating as i thought! of course asked, "why nursing? why did you choose our school? are you going to be working at all? how is your attendance been in the past?"... then went on to situational questions, like if i was caught cheating or disrupting the class.
so all in all, it wasn't as bad as i thought.. just have confidence in yourself. i've been wanting to be a nurse my whole life.. so make them realize that this has been your dream! sit up straight, try not to fidget or bite your nails. smile a lot, and prove to them why you deserve to have an opportunity to be in their program!
