What is the Illustrated notebook for Tortora's Anatomy & Physiology like?

Published

Hi, everyone:

I'm taking A&P 1 this semester and we are using text book "Principles of anatomy and physiology" from Gerard J. Tortora.

Can anybody tell me what is the illustrated notebook accompanying the textbook like? Does it contain lots of exercises, quizes?

I am thinking buy one illustrated notebook, but not sure it will help me or not. So want to know some information in advance before decide.

Thanks!

We are using that text .. and it came with a "Learning Guide" ... is that what you mean? It is the same thickness as the text and has just a pile of study questions. Anyway, let me know if that's the one you mean and I can tell you more about it if you need me to.

The illustrated notebook that I had that went along with the book was pretty much just a bunch of colored photographs of organs, bones, etc. It was broken down into systems like the textbook and had good pictures to look at. I really did not use it that much, I only used it to look at the pictures for my own general interest. It did not have any quizzes or anything in it.

Hi Kayel:

No, it is not the studying guide I meant, the illustrated notebook is a different one. Anna gave me some help and I know what the notebook looks like now!

Thanks for your help!

Personally, I liked the book. It is a big spiral bound book with all of the illustrated pictures. Nothing is labeled so you can do it yourself. That really helped me. Instead of taking notes from class in it, I took my own notes in it while I read.

But that's just my opinion on the book. :)
