What should I be doing?

I am currently in my second term of a 2 year accelerated BSN program. What should I be doing to help increase my chances of getting a job when I graduate?

Hi Ashley,

Now is the time to network at your clinical sites and with your clinical instructors. If you can get a job as a CNA, especially in a hospital, it will serve you well. Some managers like to see ACLS certification. Also, try to be involved as much as possible in your nursing student organizations and government because it shows interest in the field.

Personally introduce yourself to every nurse manager where you do clinicals. You might hit it off with someone who will hire you! Start thinking where you want to do your senior leadership practicum if you haven't already.
