What do I need for nursing school?

I just got my acceptance letter into the ADN program at my school and am curious as to what all I will need? I know the school does the whole nursing packet that you buy at the beginning of the semester, but what else would you suggest? Things like backpacks, notebooks, etc. What helped you the most?

A calendar that's a decent size to keep you organized. I bought a blank one that was actually a desk pad. I wrote the dates of upcomming assignments, tests and my clinical schedule on it so I could plan my studying accordingly. I found it a huge help. (I also ditto what others have said.)

I must have bought a hundred planners and calenders and I'll be danged if I never wrote in them again after the first day I got it. I needed reminding to write in my planner to remind me what I needed to do...

Then I tried being tech savvy and put info into my phone... would do it once, then never think of it again!

But, oddly, I could always track down hunks of paper towels, old notes, various odd pages in my texts and the bottom of my shoe where I have written important dates and times... usually after a suddenly panicky realization (like an electric shock) that I just knew I had to be somewhere...but I always could find that paper towel with the info...
