What hospitals have sign on bonuses?

U.S.A. Arizona

Hi. I'm a new nurse and just curious to what hospitals in the Phoenix area have sign on bonuses? Thanks!!:roll

Well, JCL hospital does offer the sign on bonus BUT like someone said on here before...there is a reason these hospitals offer these big sign-ons. They have to offer them because THEY suck and that is the only way they can attract nurses to the hopitals!:chuckle :chuckle :chuckle

Someone gave me advice I WISH I would have taken...and that is to know what you are getting into before you sign on that dotted line! You know how they say when something seems too good to be true, it usually is? Well, that applies to the sign on bonuses too!

So just be careful before you accept a bonus! Usually if the bonus is really big, it means the hospital is really bad! At least that is what I was told, and I should have listened!:D

Specializes in NICU.

word is that county is offering a $20,000 sign on bonus, for a 1 year contract.

but .....

***i would be very wary of huge sign on bonuses though. these hospitals that offer big sign on bonuses are offering such bonuses because they can't retain staff and/or recruit new staff, which is a huge red flag. unsafe nurse/pt ratios, bad working environments, unsafe practices, rude or unfriendly co-workers, etc aren't worth putting up with just so you can get a nice bonus. that license of yours is worth much more than any bonus. just something to think about before jumping at the bit for a nice fat bonus. i know it's temping and i'm not saying all the places that offer bonuses are bad places to work. but i'd definitely do some research and ask the recruiters why they have such a hard time recruiting new staff and retaining the staff they do have.***
