For those of you that are done with nursing or are already in a program, what class have you found to be the hardest? I am petrified of pharmacology!:chair:
Well, 1st semester I would have said Pharm, hands down. But now as I have just finished my last class, my last Med/Surg class was the hardest, so tough I wasn't sure a lot of the time if I would make it. The entire semester was Maternity, Critical Care, and Med/Surg-Renal/Hepatic with a little Cancer, Immunology, and Women's health thrown in.The tests were the toughest since I started nursing school, and our entire grade this semester consisted of 2 exams and a Final, the Final being 50%. Of course, having to pass the HESI or automatically fail kinda added to the pressure all semester, too.
We lost quite a few of our classmates from the final alone, and the HESI too. But I have to say it feels darn good to get through it all.
Have to add, too, that I think A&P II was very tough, and I wish I had spent more time actually understanding the material rather than memorizing it. But I took it pre-nursing, so at the time it did not hit me the way my learning/thinking would have to change, since nursing school is very little about memorizing and very much about the process of understanding.
I did the same thing and am dreading clinicals; however, I am hoping by pulling out my old A&P book and reviewing it may help me.
