Hello, guage14iv,

Thank you for the thread.

My take:

Negative

1 - Turn around time with entered document and its availability

2 - problems with tech support

3 - The fatal "crash" of the system

Positive

1 - Paperless

2 - Less pressure seeing patients

3 - Excellent training

4 - Better communication

When you enter an encounter, is the encounter not available immediately?

No, it isn't. If one needs to retrieve the info immediately, there are a few minutes lapse. Now, that might not seem long, but it can interfere on occasion.

I have to say, however, since we've tweaked the system somewhat, we have been able to save some time with that issue. One thing I like is the ability to open many records at the same time, and, have outside contracted dx tests imported.......but, there is the time lapse - the imported dx test results.

Edited to read: Encounter entries are much faster than they were when we first started this program........
