What was your FIRST semester?

Published

So I just got accepted into an ADN Nursing Program and I am beyond ecstatic right now.

Orientation is in May! =]

We get out first semester schedules at orientation.

CNA was a prerequisite for the program so I am wondering what kinds of classes we'd have first sem.

What was your first sem like?

I'm getting ready to start my first semester this summer. My program requires us to go year round so we only have two required classes because it's such a short semester. They are Nursing practices and Pharm I. I threw in a statistics class because I'll need it for my RN to BSN. I wish I had summers off like most of you guys!

I haven't started yet but I'll will be starting this Fall 2012. I know what to expect already from speaking others. At my school, the first semester is 16 weeks long and 10 credits, and includes mainly Fundamentals and Physical and Health assessment with some pathophysiology and pharmacology thrown in. Alot of "mini classes" thrown into one big course. Its more of an Intro to Nursing rather than just a Fundamentals class.

Specializes in CNA.

Well I am so exited! Thank you all!!!

Can't wait to start!
