Ha, I guess I'm impatient..and clicking all the wrong things. I'm finding some useful info. now. Interesting..in NY, NPs do not work "under" MDs..they work in collaboration. :) Quite nice. :D

The actual word used is not as important as what the state regs require. Nursing tends to go for the "PC" terminology, but it doesn't necessarily mean much (shoot, if you took seriously all the glamourous stuff nursing leaders write about nursing, you'd think we ran the world -- but it doesn't work out that way in real life :)).

True. I don't mind if I have to work "under" an MD, so much, if I can do most of the stuff independently :). I guess I have a lot of research to do! Thanks :D
