Hello all,
I'm starting clinicals in January, and I really have no idea what to expect. I meet with my advisor in Sept. so I will have a better idea at that time, but is there anything that you wish you had known going into your first round of clinicals? Tips, hints, important things to remember? Thanx for any and all input! :-)

Same here, and I'm on a Droid.
Luckily I spent 8 years active in the military, so I'm used to people that "know what they're doing" actually NOT knowing what they're doing! Hahahaha
Nah, seriously, I totally aggree. That is a HUGE point to make. Our instructors may have been teaching for who knows how many years, so processes may have changed, even if just a little. If any of my nurses do something different, I will ask why they are doing it. And during the "complaining" sessions, I will ask my instructors "why did she do it X way, or Y way?" It doesnt make her a bad nurse. It just means that she did it differently, that's all.
They are there to teach us just like our instructors are. I plan on apologizing first, then telling my nurses that I plan to ask any questions that come to mind. I am there to LEARN! lol
