What to expect after graduation

Hello everyone...

I have a question that is related to after graduating from a program. I'm in my 3rd semester of an ADN program and will graduate next May. I plan to get married next October, exactly 1 year from now. I also plan on going on a honeymoon right after.

My concern is about getting a job after graduation and it conflicting with my wedding plans. I would LOVE to get into a residency program like Versant, but I'm not sure how flexible it will be. Everyone I talk to tells me to just let my future employer know of my plans and that they should work with me (not so sure about that part!).

So here are my questions and please feel free to elaborate if you've been in a similar situation.

How long after graduating did you get a job?

If you did a residency (or just as a new RN), were you allowed any time off during that period?

Considering your work experience, how likely would one be able to take some time off for their wedding?

I appreciate any feedback. I stress about stuff way easily and this has been weighing on my mind for awhile!

I've gotten a job right before a big 3 week vacation (not in nursing), I brought it up when hired and it was no problem at all. I'm sure not every place would be that accepting but, definitely bring it up. I was married less than a year after I started my first nothing job and didn't have a hard time getting off for my honeymoon.

Do I address it in the interview? Or if they offer me a position?

It's been so long ago I can't remember if I brought it up in the interview or not, sorry. I think I did though but, I'm not for sure.

All I remember was when I brought it up they said it'd be no problem at all. For my honeymoon I didn't mention it when I got hired (plans weren't finalized yet), I just asked off for it like a month before the wedding.
