I'm not sure if this is an odd question or not. If the job posting is for 8 hours on Friday 11-7, I'm assuming it starts Friday night at 11PM and goes to Saturday. There's only 1 actual hour worked on Friday so I just wanted to make sure that I apply for something and get the date straight LOL.
Thanks

I think that's typically the case... except in my facility the holiday nightshift was considered the opposite. If you were assigned to work Christmas, you actually worked the eve into Christmas day. Better to ask when you get the job.

Yes, ask....my old job was the opposite of a new job. I showed up for orientation on the wrong night...like "biiiig deal" but the very officious nursing supervisor acted very annoyed!!!!!

You're correct. Show up on Friday at 2300. Though you should double-check with the manager (HR, etc.) to confirm.
