NP-C is the recognized credential for certification from the AANP. I have seen NPs use ANP-C, AGNP-C, or FNP-C and the AANP states that this is optional. When signing documents, I personally opt to just use NP-C and forgo degrees and other certifications as I think it simplifies things for the reader.
I would probably just continue signing things as you have previously until you obtain an NP position. However, your state Board of Nursing may have recommendations on use of professional titles.

Hi!
i received my official certification from the AANP today. It says I can use the credentials “NP-C.” I was in an FNP program so would I use FNP-C? Also, are my official credentials “My Name MSN, APRN, NP-C?”
I am also currently working as an RN - when I sign off do I have to use my new credentials since it’s my highest education level? Or can I still use “My Name, RN?”
thanks!
