I've seen some comments on this forum about passive income. It's a big topic over on KevinMD. I'm considering purchasing some rental property, but what are other common passive income types that healthcare providers invest in? How do you go about locating such opportunities?

In certain areas, vacation rental property has a much better ROI than local rentals. Some are willing to maximize their income by self-managing, using AirBnb, VRBO, promoting on FB, etc. Others want to set it and forget it but that comes with a cost.

Research hot vacation markets with low cost to get in (as it relates to ROI) and there are a few hot spots. Best to be close to your location though.

If you own your own place have you considered Airbnb. I Airbnb our backyard for events and we also have a 2nd property as a rental income. It is a considerable help especially right now since my husband is in school and I'm the sole breadwinner. I remember you being in California right? Check for area in the mountains near ski resorts ( so by Murphys, or a town that is a hair away from Bass Lake), those are popular and still fairly affordable. Hope this helps. Goodluck.
