Move to a midwestern state where the schools are easier to get admitted to.

Have you ever heard of ITT Technical Institute? They have a private RN program in Oklahoma City with no waiting lists or prerequisite classes. It is expensive, but a super-quick way to the RN license. You can even bypass the LVN program.

Brown Mackie College in Kansas City has a private RN program.

Hi commuter,

Do you attend Brown Mackie? What colleges do you know of that have the least "resistence" in getting into? I have most of my prereq's, but most of the colleges have or are in the process of eliminating their lvn to rn programs here in s.cali which is why I 'm willing to relocate in order to pursue my rn. Any advice would be helpful!

No, I don't attend Brown Mackie. The Brown Mackie that I was referring to is located in Kansas, and I happen to live in Texas.

The private schools in the Midwest tend to have the most lenient admissions practices. There's Nebraska Methodist College, Oklahoma City University, Murray State College, Brown Mackie, ITT Technical Institute, and other nursing programs.

I attend a private LPN-to-RN bridge program in Oklahoma City. There's also a private school in Dallas, Texas. It is called Dallas Nursing Institute.
