KG916, Are you enrolled in ISU? I am considering all my options, I'm in the same boat as you. My last option really is ISU. My first option is WCU in Los Angeles to take the RN BSN. It's gonna cost me 80k+ and that's with all general prereq's and they do not accept your LVN credits, so it's almost like starting over but you will get your BSN. Unitek is another option but the passing rate for the NCLEX bothers me. ISU is online which is difficult for me. I learn better in a classroom or at least with instructors who are available for discussions. But it is affordable, cant beat the tuition. If my finances do not allow me, ISU is a more likely route to go. I dont know anyone who actually graduated or who's in the program. Any info or input would be greatly appreciated!!

I have to agree somewhat with their customer service. When I went for an info session, I did feel like "a number" instead of a person. The cold receptionist and another office worker with 4 inch heels, cattled us into her office for instructions. I almost feel as though their attitude is...ok you're here because you have no other choice and so deal with it hahaha. BUT...if you can get pass that and all the other drama and just focus on what really is important, which is getting your RN BSN, then you will be fine. CalStudent67, What campus are you attending? I am considering WCU as a last option. The tuition is what turns me off. How good are they with helping you out with getting financial aid? Do you know if they allow you to defer payment after graduation? It would be impossible to work and attend class if you had to pay them monthly. Any advice or info would be appreciated and good luck!

Hi commuter, Do you attend Brown Mackie? What colleges do you know of that have the least "resistence" in getting into? I have most of my prereq's, but most of the colleges have or are in the process of eliminating their lvn to rn programs here in s.cali which is why I 'm willing to relocate in order to pursue my rn. Any advice would be helpful!

Do you mean $27,000 for tuition? That's actually really good compared to California private schools. I may think about relocating. So, they take credits based on undisclosed decisions? I have 75% of my prereqs done, how long did you attend the program for?

Can anyone tell me the price tag for their lvn to rn program? With or without the prereqs....

Congrads on your acceptance! Trying to get into a program at a JC is nearly impossible for me, so I am looking into private schools in S. Cali. I'm interested in attending Kaplan. Could you possibly share your experience in applying such as tuition costs and requirements. Any info would be great, good luck and thanks!
