What do you do with your children at night?

Hi - for those of you who have children and work nights, do you miss out on a lot of their activities in school? Also, what do you do with them over the summer? Thanks in advance for any responses! :)

My hubs stayed with them at night. Then they were not in school so I did not have to worry about that. But people who did at my work would make their schedules around the days their kids had school functions or see if someone would trade or help cover until they could get into work after the function.
