I currently have my BA. However my GPA in college was a 2.5. After some thought I decided that what I wanted have a career in wasn't for me. I discovered nursing. Here's my dilemma. I plan on applying to nursing school this fall. My plan is to obtain a ADN. Then I realized I could just go for my BSN Accelarated Degree. I just found out though that 2 of the schools that offers the BSN program you must have a minimum of a C+ in pre-req sciences courses to get it. I got a C in A&P I. I'm currently taking A&P II. Honestly, knowing that I have a C, should I apply anyway to the schools that require a C+?
Does anyone know anyone that's ever gotten accepted in nursing school with a grade lower than what the school requires?
My back plan is to still apply to the community colleges which would accept my C. But if I can apply to someone that would look past my C in lieu of a C+ , I'm aiming for it.
Please advise!!

I don't think that you have a chance of getting into a community college's nursing program with that GPA. My suggestion is to just apply though to any and all schools around your area, because the school that I got accepted to I didn't think I would get accepted because the minimum GPA was 3.0-which means that the transfer GPA is competitive. My actual GPA was like 2.9 something. I got a C in 2 chemistry classes and A&P1.
