What career can I take temporarily with a BSN?

Published

I'm a BSN graduate from 2009 and have been trying to get that RN license, actually a few days ago I found out that I didn't pass yet. It took me a long time before I took the exam because I worked as a CNA while waiting for my papers to get done.

So now I want to know, what career I can get with my BSN that is within the scope/ field of healthcare? Anything but being a CNA again because that really isn't enhancing my already dull brain. Please give me some ideas. I thought about medical transcriptionist but that may require training and wide vocabulary and I don't have the luxury of time and very wide vocab.

You could be a unit secretary. Some hospitals may hire you to work as a phlebotomist. The problem is, that most jobs in healthcare require a lot of specific training for that particular job. If you've not passed NCLEX yet, perhaps you could try being a CNA in a different type of setting? Or on a different type of floor?

thanks chloecatrn. i was a CNA in the skilled unit, but the Nsg Home i came from doesn't really use those skills, ADL's are the only stuff we do. i guess that place was really bad that's why i don't wanna give CNA a try again, in a hospital here the Unit Sec needs to be a CNA so they can be utilized in that field too. i'll take those into consideration..thanks again:)
