I will be graduating nursing school this summer and want to know the best way to study for the NCLEX. Some of my friends are saying I should just study all the ATI books I got at the beginning of the program and others say I should just buy the KAPLAN program and do at least 3000 questions before I write it. I really want to pass the first time, so what is the best way to prepare myself for this exam?

Do some critical thinking on the matter and come up with a plan that seems right for you. Do you feel especially well prepared coming out of your program or do you feel you need extensive work relearning principles? That will dictate how much time you should study concepts before going into "question" mode. If you do some reading on this site, you will find that many people are successful using Saunders Comprehensive Review, the Linda LaCharity book on prioritization, and the Kaplan review book for test taking strategies. They do as many questions as possible and study the rationales. Good luck.
