Hello everyone and Congrats to the new students starting this Fall!!!
I have a dilemma. Should I take additional classes with my first year Nursing Fundamentals class. Our ADN program is part-time the first year, just in case students need to finish some pre-req before the third semester. I am finish taking my pre-req with the expection of one which is A & P II. I would like to take it along with those classes, however faculty says the program is very rigorous. There are some students that taken other classes and has passed.
Plus Financial Aid is paying for my classes. If I attend part-time, I will only get so much money and it might not be enough. Also, I will have to start paying on my student loans which I am not financially capable of at the moment. Decisions Decision Decisions
Please post what your plans are or if you have had the same dilemma as this?

I am taking NSG 101 as well as PSY 223 (online) and BIO139 at night. I will also be working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 7a-7p. I am looking at 10-12 hour days for the whole semester but I am bound and determined to do!!! Good Luck with whichever classes you take!
I need to take A & P II or I could wait until the summer of 2014. I just dont wont to set myself up for failure. I am so scared:unsure:

Take your A&P online during the summer. There are plenty of good schools around. Be sure to check rate my professor dot com to get the low down on who is teaching it.
I just finished a great little 3 credit online course at Mercer County Community College. HPE115 Introduction to Public Health is only 6 weeks and is taught by a former assistant commissioner of health for New Jersey. It transfers everywhere and is a key course to have if you one day want to be a school nurse in New Jersey and other places. Its a real find.
I think online courses help get you ready for nursing in a major way and have become accepted as a normal part of education. Make sure your school is "regionally accredited."

In all of my nursing school semesters, my nursing classes only equaled 6 credit hours or less and I went full time the entire time. It really depends on what kind of student you are. Some people would not have been able to do that but I learn things easily and knew that I could do it. You have to do what is best for yourself.
