WGU scholarships

I received notice today via email that I am one of the finalist for the ANPD scholarship worth $2000. They wanted to talk to me over the phone about my educational and professional background.I scheduled a phone interview this Friday and I am really nervous because getting this money would mean the world to me. Has anyone else received scholarship money from WGU? I will keep you all posted of the outcome!

How did you go about writing the 'essay's' on the application form? Any advice or suggestions? Thank you!

If your referring to the admission assessment, they will give you the topic and you just write about it. Pretty simple topic nothing too heavy.

I was referring to the scholarship 'essay's' all I can think is that I can answer that question in three sentences(name that tune, lol). I would love to qualify for a few of the scholarships so I don't have to take out loans, but have no idea what they are looking for, argh!!! :-)

The questions are pretty detailed but I definetly have a story to tell. I talked about my struggle to get into a nursing program due to limited space and that I wanted to how frustrating it was. I also talked about overcoming other obstacles in life etc. just look deep and write from the heart. Good luck!
