I was looking at a few local universities and colleges. University of Reno and for my BSN Great Basin College. The cost of WGU along with accreditation and the option to complete as many credits in a 6 month term, no buying books outside of the tuition(books are included in PDF/E-book) and positive reviews from other students from WGU. There are some FB pages where I learned more about WGU straight from current and past students. Also, WGU does not rely on mindless posting of other students opinions and thoughts as some other programs consist of. If I am already knowledgeable in an area I can quickly test through as the unit are competency based and if I need to work on other areas many resources are provided.
I am starting the first of July. I have two friends who have gone there. One completed her MSN and now teaches (at home) for WGU and one completed her BSN and works for public health. She is pregnant and will continue her education for her MSN at WGU when the baby is born.
Their enthusiasm has encouraged me to go back! Right now, I am an ADN and teach CNA classes, but would like to do home teaching plus gaining more knowledge is always a plus, right?! :)
I think teaching CNA classes would be fun. I would love to look into an online teaching job ay WGU after graduation. It seems like a great program and I am super excited! I have 64 credits to complete for the RN to MSN program and hope to complete in 4 terms. How many credits do you have MomBaby?

I have researched and researched college and found WGU to be my choice! I start AUG 2014. Anyone else starting then or are you a student? Any tips or advice. How long do you anticipate in completing your degree at WGU. I would love to hear feedback from fellow nurses.
