I finished my application in early Sept. They typically start selecting students about 6-8 weeks from the start date you’re applying for. I know they have selected everyone for the Nov and Dec cohorts. As far as I know, they only pick about 10 students to be in each cohort. The next cohort for Houston is January and then April, I believe. So you want to make sure you have everything submitted as soon as possible before those dates so you can have a fair shot.

I’m not the most competitive student by any means, so I’m actually really grateful to be accepted to this program this time around. After speaking with some of the reps at the school and my admissions counselor, it’s definitely a lot more competitive than people think. Because they’re not selecting as many students and they want to ensure they make adequate selections.

Perfect. I am actually applying for the indianapolis, IN cohort. I was told to have everything in by early next month to be entered into the pool of applicants for the Feb 1st cohort. I am just waiting to take my TEAS Nov 2. They still haven't opened up the registration for that. My counselor said I should be OK on timing. Wish me luck. They keep pushing back start dates here.

Dang, that sucks! Is that the earliest you can take the test? They aren’t offering it remotely? They pushed a couple start dates back here as well when COVID happened. They didn’t have enough people apply one time, so they cancelled the cohort. Hopefully you get everything together in time.

I don't mind the date. They are doing remote tests, but I needed time to review... I was a bit rusty on a few things. I would rather get a good score the first time, if possible.

Same here! I’m ready to hit the ground running. Before we know it, the program will be over and we’ll be working nurses.

I know right! Yeah, it would be great if we could all connect within the Houston cohorts and share study notes so we can all graduate on time.
