Hey, guys I didn't see a thread for this new application cycle. How many of you guys have submitted your applications? Have you heard anything back?

Specializes in Emergency room technician.

Hey guys! Was wondering if anyone knows when we will hear anything back?

Specializes in Nursing.

The advisor said mid of November they should start sending invites ?

Hi!

I’ve completed an application! I received a payment confirmation, but nothing else so far. I keep checking my email daily for messages from them. I’m so excited!

I have a B.S. in kinesiology from CSU Fresno. I’ve had over 2 years experience as a rehab technician at a sub acute care facility. After working with therapy and the nursing staff, I felt myself really bonding with the nurses. I felt inspired to apply to the MSN-E program after positive reviews from a colleague who attended.

I had so many points I wanted to hit with the essays I had to shave down all of them significantly. I almost maxed out all 4.

Good luck to everyone applying fingers crossed for us!

Hopefully we can all get in..????

Hi all!

Did anyone get an invite to join the Information Session?

Specializes in Nursing.

When is it posted? I didn’t received any emails about it

I got an email on 11/6?

Specializes in Nursing.

Really?? Where is it coming from? I mean from advisor or directly from admission?

It just says from Western U office?

It’s from Director of Office Recruitment. I submitted my application on 10/30, and got the email on 11/6. It’s probably nothing! LOL. Don’t want to get my hopes up haha

Hi everyone,

To give some background:

I received my B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing with a whopping 2.5 GPA. Horrendous, I know. But I absolutely LOATHED Business and was working 2 jobs, 1 of them full-time, to pay my way through college. Anyways, my pre-requisite GPA is a 3.9. I'm hoping they'll see the very obvious difference in my grades once I changed career paths and became a full-time EMT.

Along with working as an EMT, I also have 200 hours of volunteer experience at my local community hospital and am apart of the American Nurses Associate and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. One of my jobs in undergrad was as a Lifeguard, too!

My older sister attended WesternU's PA program and graduated with high honors, so I'm hoping that will also show that we're a dedicated family. Has anyone else with a less-than-stellar GPA applied?

I've heard nothing yet, but did receive that e-mail to join the information session. I'm assuming those are generic, generated e-mails that they send to everyone on their list. All the best to you all! Highly unlikely that I'll get in, but at least I can say I tried!

That’s so cool! IDK, but I have already attended a Western U preview session last October. I am not sure if it’s the same, or they’re making another rounds.

Specializes in Scribe.

Hello everyone!

Seeing as this website is updated with recent experiences and other applicants, I have decided to join the forum!

I graduated with my B.S in biology from Cal Poly Pomona in 2019 and took a gap year to obtain patient care hours. I have been a medical scribe/translator at a family medical clinic for the past 3 and a half years. This is my first time applying, I finally bit the bullet after putting off applications due to fear of failure. I am very excited to see what these next following weeks will be for all of us, and wish us all nothing but the best of luck!

P.S is it too early into the application process to be refreshing your email everyday of every hour? Because I am GUILTY of doing so LOL
