I am considering going back to school for BSN or MSN. I have been an active RN for 40 years and have an ADN. Has anyone gone to western governors university? I would appreciate any information about the experience. thanks

I've been enrolled in the online RN-to-BSN program through Western Governors University since May 2014. I have three more credits to complete and expect to be done within the next month or so.
My experience with this program has been enjoyable. However, I am a good independent learner who can study alone. People who need constant interaction from peers and professors may wish to select another program. People who cannot find the answers to their questions by themselves may wish to choose another program. People who worry about being stigmatized for having completed an online degree program may wish to pick another school.
However, if online learning is appropriate for your personal learning style, I would recommend the program. Good luck to you.

Everyone in this forum is either attending or already attended WGU. :)
There are lots of threads in this forum about people's experiences. I'd suggest reading through several, then if you have specific questions, we'd be happy to answer them for you!

I attended WGU for my BSN, and I would definitely choose WGU if I had to do it all over again. As klone said, however, there are tons of stories and lots of information about folks' experience already on this board. Spend a little time looking over the other posts.
If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask!
