To all the nurse managers out there or whoever might be in charge of hiring nurses: What are the chances of you hiring nurses that graduated from private schools (specifically West Coast University)?? Do you prefer nurses who graduated from CSU and UC?

Well, turns out I can't get in. I don't have a cosigner that will qualify to take out 40k :(

Can you afford monthly payments?

How much was it monthy? I have no money and I doubt my parents could afford it. I didn't realize that federal loans were only 10k...and I don't think I could get a private loan. Plus private loans are RISKY because you can't get Income Based Repayment and the interest rate could go up to 10%!

I visited WCU last year , I really like the school but 133k is not affordable for me. How do you pay this back ?? It will be at least $1500 out of your salary for several years AM I RIGHT ?

Wow thats not bad , how come ? Did you have your pre-reqs done before you entered the program?

Some pre reqs were done, the GI Bill paid direct and my GI bill housing allowance was given to the school every month so I paid monthly.

You can still pay monthly some of the amount so it's not a full loan.
