West Coast University Summer 2020

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone. I will be attending West Coast University starting in June 2020 at the Orange County campus. I had most of my credits approved so I only need to finish 15 more credits for their Gen Ed and then I will begin my core nursing classes this November according to my proposed schedule from them. I am expected to graduate August of 2022.

I am moving from Sacramento, California so I am in need of a (female) roommate and I was wondering if anyone is interested. Please let me know ?

Hi I am also considering wcu Anaheim, and will start on June if I do end up choosing west coast, I am really scared of the tuition, is so much money, I get pell grant and federal loans, but that still not enough to cover tution, I have to take out private loans, I transferred most of my classes from community college, and just need gened capstone, patho and another class required by the school, and I will start on November core nursing classes, where are you thinking of renting a place, I am a female 26 years old, and might be interested.

Hi everyone! I want to apply to West Coast University's BSN program. Are the information sessions one-on-one? Also, how is the application process like? Is it easy to get accepted?

Thanks. Stay safe!

They do groups at a time for the info sessions. So far the application process seems simple but it's been a few mths since you posted this so you might already be going through it. I have my financial aid appt this Tuesday . Where are you with the process ?

Hello everyone!

I am super interested in this school.

I have an AA and all my pre-reqs done but I would hate to spend 2 years at a community college just to have another AA or apply to a Cal State and possibly spend years on their waitlist and never get my RN. This is beginning to seem like the best bet to get my BSN in the least about of time.

I also spoke to Stanbridge awhile ago but they would only transfer over like 15 of my credits.

Is there anything I should know about WCU before I apply?

Hi everyone

I am new here and interested in West coast university too. I am in a community college now and trying to pass all the prereq before applying. I am an older student in my mid 30's so my only concern is financial aid. it is too expensive but the good point is they do not have a waiting list. If anyone is a student here in OC or North hollywood please share your experience... I want to make sure 160k is worth attending to this school or not.... Thank you

I've read stories of cheating scandals and I've read comments from hiring managers that say they laugh at people who go through for profit schools because it's shows they are impatient and have bad decision making skills. I was just about to sign all the docs and decided last minute not to. Take your time and find another way. There are other private schools to get an RN for less.

Thank you so much for your reply. If you know about any other fast program, I would appreciate if you could let me know
