  1. Saddleback's program is one of the best in the country for a community college. I just got accepted into a BSN program and don't want to continue at the CC level.
  2. I have not heard anything but I was accepted into the program and had to release my spot last week. So hopefully some of you guys get in and have enough time to get all your stuff done!
  3. You're right, my bad. I thought this was the Santa Ana thread.
  4. It's been mentioned a few times in the thread, but last I checked, the website said letters will go out at the end of November.
  5. I had 95 points at SAC. I was accepted at Saddleback with 85 and I think that was about the cutoff there. Here's my SAC Application info: 4 pts - AA degree 24 pts - 4.0 GPA in sciences 3 pts - bonus for taking courses within 4 years 11 pts - for extra classes (think I had 3 pts for english/5 for pharm & 3 bonus pts for taking pharmacology within the last 2 years) 2 pts - bonus for medical terminology 18 pts - for taking all the extra general education courses 15 pts - TEAS score (91.2 and only ~70 in science because my entire section was Chemistry & I didn't study for chem at all) 13 pts - medical assistant experience (I only actually worked as an MA for a few months and God bless all of you because that was enough for me) 5 pts - life experience
  6. I have associates degrees. I sent the official transcripts before the application was due and then sent unofficial transcripts with the application. I was actually accepted to another program, so if I am accepted here I will be declining. So good luck to whoever ends up on the waitlist!!
  7. I sent both, but I think they don't technically need the official transcripts until you are accepted into the program.
  8. It said they would send notices towards the end of November.
  9. Wow, thanks for posting! What are your feelings on doing both programs at the same time? I'm not working or anything so I want to get all of this done quickly, but I am afraid because everyone says nursing school is so hard.
  10. Okay, I swear they had a page about it before. If you find out let us know. Thanks!
  11. Does anyone know if Saddleback does a dual enrollment? Or have some kind of agreement with other colleges so we can start our BSN while in the program?
  12. If you look in the course schedule and go to N170 Lab it lists all the different places they use.
  13. I know this wasn't directed at me but I was accepted and this was the first time I've applied to any nursing program. I have a 4.0 science GPA, a 3.5 overall GPA, 3 AA degrees, 91.2 on TEAS (only 75 in science tho b/c my whole section was Chemistry and I didn't study for that haha), about 400 hours of work experience as a medical assistant, I took all of the extra courses and got As in all but one class (pharm, lifecycles 1&2, psyc, communication, stats). I don't think there was anything exceptional about my application. The only thing that might have set me apart was the fact that I took all the science pre-reqs at Saddleback. I don't know if they look at any of this stuff since the application is online. I assume a bot just sifts through the applications now but this is all extra stuff I have done that would have only been visible if a person actually looked at my transcripts: I have taken a ton of extra related courses (CPR, Advanced CPR, gerontology certificate, medical terminology, pathophysiology, case management, extra Chemistry classes, and nutrition. I also take passion classes at Coastline like drawing, extra math classes, emergency management classes along with community volunteer work (though I didn't put this on the application), and I have taken Spanish for 3 total years and Chinese for 1 year (didn't put it on the app b/c I was afraid they might ask me to speak with PTs and I'm not comfortable with that). I hope it helps!
  14. Do you happen to be taking the Labs course on campus this semester?
  15. Oh, I duno LOL. I’ve never applied before. I just assumed they would give you a number.
