West Coast University BSN program- EXPERIENCE

U.S.A. California

I am enrolled at WCU- Orange County campus and I'm supposed to start June 20th. I have a few pre reqs done and such and I'm accepted and ready to go! There are a lot of posts about this school but not many actual experience stories. I feel that this school seems to be what you make it. A LOT of money, but I think in the long run it will work out. Any thoughts and opinions?

yay! a fellow student! I will be there in June as well! Registration May 20th can't wait to see my schedule. I don't have any personal experience yet either but I'll be right there with ya! Feel free to PM me:o

No way! You're going to Anaheim campus as well? Nice! ---- is my guidance counciler and she said she had no idea when registration is. May 20th? Awesome!! I'm way too excited. Also fairly scared that i'm about to waste a bunch of money on a bad education :( But I talked to a student there and she said she loved it and that there were plenty of teachers who offered tutoring and such. Pretty neat!

Yep Anaheim! I'm with the councelor ------. She just called me yesterday and told me when registration was. You said you had a few pre reqs done can I ask which ones? Yeah I'm super nervous about the cost but then I look at friends on the waitlist at community colleges and feel hopeful lol. I work at a hospital now and one of the nurses here graduated from wcu. Also the wcu students do rotations here so I know getting a job after shouldn't be too difficult.

Yay i'm so excited! What hospital do you work at?! I have anatomy and both english courses done for sure. I also took a chemistry course but we aren't sure if it counts. What job do you have at the hospital if you don't mind me asking?

I don't think I shld share with the world where I work ;) lol but I will private message u it if I can find how to do that haha. O cool I took anatomy, english I, psych, soci, speech, and I took a chem as well but they said I wld still need an organic chem to equal their class....so I didn't care I just wanted to start already! Lol I was taking physio and micro but I wasn't learning much at the community college so decided to drop and just take at wcu. Hopefully understand better there. Yay we will prob have classes together! Right now I work in sterilization at the hospital preping trays for surgery. Not very exciting and no patient contact unfortunately but have my foot in the door lol. I try to stay familiar with the staff and nurses in departments so when ready I can transfer over =)

That sounds like kind of a neat job :) and an awesome in at a hospital. I've been trying like crazy to get some in to a hospital. But everyone wants experience. I have my EMTb lisence but that didn't help much while trying to get a job in a hospital. Right now I'm just trying to volunteer at one, but even that's competitive to get into! We probably will have a class together that's too funny! You have way more pre reqs done then I do though so I'm sure you'll be donee faster :)

hey paige! ready for registration next friday?? I'm super excited! what's your email? we can try to meet up at registration and see if we have a class together! :D

Is there a way of sending a private message? I don't know how to work this website haha. I'm sososoo excited! I'm pretty sure my first 10 weeks will be Physiology and Speech. So maybe we'll have physio together since you've already taken speech right? I'll send you my e-mail or facebook link or something if we can figure out how to send a message on this thing haha

haha! I know I couldn't figure it out either! yes I'm thinking physio together!

grrr i have no idea how to do it! there's some pm thing we can do but i don't know how to work it. i don't really want to post my email though haha. let me know if you think of anything!

taaadaaaaa! hahah we need 15 posts :smackingf haha

how do i send private messages?

private messages work a little like email, but are limited to registered members with 15+posts. you may include bb code, smilies and images in private messages that you send.

you may send a private message to a member by clicking the 'send new message' link in the private messaging section of your user control panel, or by clicking the page_edit.gif 'send a private message' icon that appears in a member's posts when you click on their username.

when you send a message, you have the option to save a copy of it in your 'sent items' folder.
