West Chester University Accelerated Nursing Program Applicants (Cohort 13)

Hey! Has anyone else been accepted to West Chester's 2nd Degree Accelerated BSN Program beginning May 2017? I know the cohort is only 32 students, but I haven't been able to find anyone else who's been accepted thus far! I'm super excited and I need someone to share my joy with lol

It's been great reading all of your comments. I am going to be a senior at Virginia Tech this fall (studying Human Development and Psychology). Would any of you be willing to share your overall/pre-req GPA's and previous medical experience before you applied to WCU? Trying to gauge my chances of getting in... any help would be so appreciated!!

Hi ckatie97! Congrats on making it to your senior year! We are now seniors in the WCU program set to graduate this December. (Yay!) Upon applying for the program my GPA from my first degree wasn't too great actually (2.8), but my pre-req GPA was a solid 4.0, Teas score was an 80 and I also had 5 years of healthcare/hospital experience (pharmacy). I would recommend that you send in your COMPLETED application SUPER EARLY to increase your chances of securing an interview. The seats fill pretty fast! Also, be sure to research other programs and compare and contrast. The pricetag for WCU is very appealing, but you get what you pay for if you catch my drift. I don't want to discourage you because everyone's experience can be quite different. Whatever school you choose, make the best of it! Best of luck to you!
