Hi everyone,
Just wondering, how is to work with West Boca Medical Center , and roughly pay for RN in peds with 10 years of experience.
Also if any one know, what is the living cost in that area.
thanks

Cost of living in boca is extremely high. I used to pick up extra shifts at west boca on the peds floor 6 years ago, so my info is a little dated. Can't speak to the pay since I primarily worked for St. Mary's in west palm and my shifts at west boca were considered overtime since both facilities are owned by Tenet. I worked nights, we had 4 patients each (way better than the 6 we had at st. Scary's) but the patients were in semi private rooms and every patient also had a bed for a parent in there, which made it almost impossible to reach your patient to give meds or check IVs. That being said, we always had time to take our breaks, eat, pee, etc and the nurses were nice enough. If you're looking for high acuity though, West Boca isn't the place for that. As far as cost of living-- I was living with my mom at her house (rent free) in boca at the time, working full time at St. Mary's and picking up overtime at West Boca. I couldn't afford rent and to pay back my student loans at the time, even working 4-5 nights every week (including most weekends).
