Went to a mandatory class while on "medical leave"

I made a mistake. One night I went to the E.R for abdominal pain and shortness of breath, I walked out against the Drs advice ( to be admitted) with a diagnosis of an enlarged appendix. The Dr did give me a note taking me off work for a week, while the medical team and I would talk about surgery or not. The next day I went to a mandatory work class, completely forgetting about being on "medical leave" am I fired? Your opinions are appreciated.

While I think that unlikely, you really need to discuss this with your manager, as only he or she can answer this.

Best wishes.

Why would you leave against the doctor's advice to begin with? You felt bad enough to go to the ER and when they tell you they want to admit, you decide, 'meh, let me think about it...  but while I'm here, can I get a note giving me a week off?'

Then you go to a mandatory meeting the next evening.

How are you feeling today? Enlarged appendix  isn't anything to mess around with.
