Hey everyone! Figured I'd start a new thread for everyone applying to Wellstar. I'm a former extern and applied on Tuesday when the application opened. I graduate in May of 2020 and I'm hoping to start with the July cohort. I just completed the follow-up assessment last night.

Maybe, that's very odd though. I'd definitely follow up with the recruiter. What unit will you be on?

I’ll be in Med Surg. They did say it could change so I’ll follow up with the recruiter and hope for the best! ?

Hey, they didn’t officially give me an email with a different start date but I’m assuming my new one is April 17th as well I was suppose to be starting July 20th and I am moving from out of state also.

Mine has been moved to August 17 and I'm on the Neuro ICU. Hopefully it changes to a sooner date since we all have plans. I do know of other person in my class who got moved all the way to October

I’ll be at Kennestone as well! On 7W I believe.

WOW! October! I really hope mine doesn’t get moved that far. That makes me thankful for August 17 at least.

Hey all!

I know there’s only a few of us on this page but I thought it would be cool to start a facebook group for the program as I am a new grad coming from out of state and would love to build some friendships and a support group throughout our journey in the residency program. I named the group

“Wellstar Nurse Residency Summer/Fall 2020”
